Charlie

Hi, I’m Charlie. I’m a 6-year-old chocolate Lab
who’s easygoing and mellow most of the time, with just the right burst
of playful energy when it’s time to have fun. I absolutely love playing
fetch and tug-of-war which will help me shed a few pounds as I am a tad
overweight at 80lbs. I’m trustworthy enough to free roam when
you’re gone… just know that my nose has a PhD in finding snacks,
so clearing the counters is highly recommended. I ride quietly in the
backseat and absolutely love sticking my head out the window and letting the
world rush by.

In my foster home, I live peacefully with another dog and two cats.
Sometimes I forget myself and try to play with the cats, but they’ve
made it very clear they are “look, don’t touch,” and I
respect that. I’m also gentle around kids and really enjoy being part
of the family action.

I was very loved in my previous home, but I spent a lot of long days alone
waiting for my people to come back from work and school. What I want most now
is companionship. I love cuddling, following you from room to room, and just
being wherever you are. Walks are one of my favorite things, and once I know
you’re my person, I can even walk nicely off-leash. If you’re
