(the Great Dog). Often referred to as the "Dog Star," Sirius brings
a luminous energy to every room he enters. At just 1 year old and weighing
65 lbs, Sirius is already making an impression with his boundless
excitement and loving nature.
This delightful Lab has a heart as big as his paws. Sirius is playful,
friendly, and truly lives up to the reputation of his breed. He loves to
romp, play, and socialize, quickly making friends with other dogs wherever he
goes. Sirius is a social butterfly in the making, always eager for new
adventures and companionship. His energetic play style means he’s not
suited to homes with cats—his enthusiasm can be a bit much for feline
companions. However, Sirius thrives in environments with other dogs and
plenty of opportunities to burn off energy.
Sirius spent his first year with a loving senior couple who cared deeply
for him. Although he was cherished, his exposure to the wider world was
limited, so he didn’t experience as much variety in social situations
or outings as most puppies do. As a result, Sirius is still discovering the
world and learning how to navigate new environments. Every day brings new
experiences, and he’s eager to learn and grow.
Currently, Sirius is working with a professional trainer to improve his
basic obedience skills. He’s a smart, eager learner and is making
steady progress with each session. His adopter should be ready to participate
in training sessions to continue his progress and help him build
confidence as he explores life beyond his first home. Patience,
encouragement, and consistency will help Sirius reach his full potential as a
well-mannered and happy companion.
