Porter

Hi, I’m Porter, a 6-month-old, 40-pound black Lab mix. I'm ready
for an adventure one minute and a cuddle the next. I enjoy being a part of a
family, whether you’re relaxing on the couch or working around the
house, I’ll happily lounge nearby, just enjoying your company.
I’m potty trained, crate trained, and sleep through the night on my dog
bed in my foster’s room. While I do great when my people are home,
I’m still a curious puppy, so it’s best if I’m crated when
you’re away or when you can’t pay full attention to me. It keeps
me safe and out of trouble!
I love playing with other dogs and would enjoy having a playful doggy friend,
though I’d also be happy soaking up all the attention myself. I’m
also okay with cats—who are dog-friendly and willing to give me a
chance.
I’m learning to play fetch and getting better every day at bringing the
ball back—and learning to drop it; so you’ll throw it again!
I’m a smart puppy who enjoys learning and would love a family that will
continue helping me build my confidence and skills.
One more thing you should know about me… I LOVE water! A swimming
pool? Count me in. A kiddie pool? That's great too. A splash pad? Yes,
please! Lakes? Never been but I'm sure it will be fun!
