Meep

Meep

Hi I’m Meep, a 56 lb black Lab mix, full of love and a zest for
life. My foster mom tells me I have the most beautiful brown eyes.

I love to walk and run and do pretty well on the leash. I would make a
great running companion, but I also love to cuddle and chill at home. I am a
great supervisor of my foster mom’s work from home life. I am a good
napper and lounge dog too… what can I say, I am the best of both
worlds?! From chill time to active vibes, I enjoy it all.

My friends are dogs of all sizes and demeanors, some just chill around me
and some play fetch with me. I’ve never met a dog I didn’t like.
I am both doggy door and crate trained. In my previous life, I was a counter
surfer and had chewing tendencies, so my foster family leaves me in a crate
if they go out, but so far they haven’t seen the chewing or surfing
tendencies. That’s probably because we’ve been working on some
training and routines to set me up for success.

Structure is the name of the game. In my foster family’s home, I
have learned to go to my “place” before being given my meals, I
stay out of the kitchen, and I have learned some other good commands and
habits to help set me up for success.

My foster mom says I’m practically perfect but here are a few things
I don’t like: loud and startling noises and small children in my face.
I would do best in a home with older or no children. I can certainly visit
with kids and I do like them, but the younger ones, when they are playing
wildly and swinging around a baseball bat, playing like dinosaurs, etc. can
sometimes startle me, so it would be better if being around small kiddos was
an occasional visit, like Sunday family dinner or holidays, and not my day to
day life.

I love to be part of the family so it would be best if someone is around
more than not. I can be left alone for a bit, but would rather hang out with
you than be crated or left all day. Whether it’s playing fetch, napping
on my bed, sunbathing in the grass in the yard, or supervising work and
chores around the house, I just love to be around my family – including my
foster dog sisters.

I haven’t gotten in the pool yet, but the water’s still a
little chilly. I do love to chase one of my foster dog sisters around the
pool while she dives for her pool toys, so I certainly don’t mind being
wet. I imagine with some time, the pool could become a fun activity for
me.

If you are interested in meeting me, please contact my foster family. They
want you to know that I would love for you to keep up my structure and
training. It’s simple, but the consistently surely sets me up for
success!
