Kodiak

Kodiak is a 4-year-old AKC Chocolate Lab who lives life with his whole
heart—and his whole body. At 90 pounds of pure chocolatey charm,
he’s tall, goofy, and impossible not to love. His favorite things in
the world are swimming, fetch, tug, Frisbee, and any scent-based game that
lets him use his powerful and talented nose.

When Kodiak gets excited, he really gets excited. His tail becomes a
helicopter, his body wiggles like a slinky, and he may accidentally bump into
you while bouncing around. He doesn’t mean to be clumsy—he just
loves everything a little too much.

Inside the home, he’s a gem. He doesn’t chew things he
shouldn’t, he relaxes happily near his people, but will follow you
around, and he settles into his kennel without fuss. Give him a yard to run
in and maybe a dog friend who shares his enthusiasm, and he’ll be in
heaven.

Leash walking is a work in progress because he wants to greet every person
and dog he sees. That excitement can turn into frustration, so helping him
learn to regulate his emotions will be key. Luckily, he’s smart, eager
to please, and loves learning.

Kodiak is affectionate, energetic, silly, and full of joy. He’s
ready to bring his big Lab love—and his even bigger
personality—to a family who appreciates a dog with a zest for life.
