Hi I’m Duncan, a 2-year-old Black Lab/Dalmatian mix. I came into the rescue after I was abandoned with my mom, a purebred Dalmatian. She was adopted and now it’s my turn to find my family!

At first, people thought I was timid, but I just needed some time to ake friends. I’ve never met a dog or person I didn’t like. My foster family has 2 resident labs and a small Maltipoo they’re dogsitting so I have a bonus roommate too. We all get along great! When it comes to humans, I am very gentle with little ones, but I can also play and be adventurous with anyone.

My foster humans say I am athletic and smart. I love to run and play but can also cuddle and nap. I do need to keep practicing my leash walks. I just haven’t had too many walks in my life so I get really excited – my foster family promises that we’ll keep walking and I don’t need to pull… they know where to go.

I have a strong prey drive and love to chase birds. I’ve been very curious about the pool. I love to go on walks and sunbathe, and I’d probably be a good hiking/walking/running buddy once I hone my leash walking skills. I have polite food and treat manners. I am house trained, know a few commands and am practicing more. I ride well in the car and keep quiet. I do get a little anxious on long rides but I’m doing better with practice and pup cups certainly help.
