Cherry
Ruby (formerly Cherry) is a sweet 11-month-old, 48-pound, spayed, female,
yellow Lab. She is very shy and skittish at first. It will probably take a
couple of weeks for her to get comfortable around new people, but once she
starts to relax, her personality will show. She is gently playful, loves ear
rubs, and neck scratches. Despite her young age, she is a chill, quiet dog
and is not destructive at all. She can be left alone without incident and is
happy to see you when you return. She uses a doggy door and is house trained.
She loves going on walks and if you are looking for a running partner,
she’s your girl! She is still working on finding her confidence so she
will definitely need her new person/family to have the time to work with her
to help her be the best dog she can be. She absolutely loves playing
with the resident dogs and would thrive the most in an environment where
there is another confident dog to play with and help her improve her doggie
social skills. Ruby is very smart and a quick learner. She loves all
her dog toys – especially stuffies and the tug rope (although she
doesn’t really understand tug-a-war yet). Ruby is working on
coming out of her shy state as she builds her confidence, so a patient new
home is a must! If you are interested and have the time to help this sweet
girl become the best version of herself, she is going to make some human(s)
very happy!
