Atticus

Atticus, a sweet and easy going mixed-breed boy who will make an ideal companion. He enjoys daily walks and has a particular fondness for birds. Fortunately, his manageable weight of about 45 pounds makes him easy to handle. Atticus seeks validation through treats (which he takes gently), pats on the head, and overall body rubs. He tends to stick close to his owner. While he shows independence and minimal separation anxiety, he can be easily startled by sudden movements or loud noises. Atticus enjoys playing with his canine companions and generally gets along well with them. However, he may struggle when challenged by his doggy roommates for toys. Despite this, Atticus is very loving and easygoing. He sleeps on his dog bed at night but may prefer a crate, as he sometimes starts out under the bed seeking a more enclosed space. He is also good with cats.
