Alfie

Hi there! I’m Alfie!
I’m about a year old, which means I’m basically a goofy toddler
in dog form. I also have something called Megaesophagus — fancy
word, right? It just means I eat my meals in my special chair (don’t
worry, it comes with me!) and then I hang out there for about 20 minutes like
a tiny king on his throne. Foster Mom and I are practicing, so the chair
feels less like a weird robot and more like a chill hangout spot.

I’m a small Lab mix who had a pretty rough beginning, so I’m
still figuring out this whole “trusting humans” thing. But
I’m trying! And guess what? I’m playful when the mood strikes,
but I’m also totally cool with relaxing like a pro.

Morning walks? LOVE THEM. I don’t pull, I enjoy the scenery,
and meeting other dogs is basically my favorite hobby. Friendly dogs =
instant best friends. People without dogs? Ehh… kinda spooky. But if
they come with teeny-tiny treats, I can be persuaded to warm up.

Since I didn’t get to do normal puppy stuff, I’m learning now
— and wow, squeaky toys are AMAZING. I mostly keep the
stuffing inside the toys… mostly.
Foster Mom says I’m very curious. Cupboards? Fascinating. The fridge
and freezer? Absolute wonderlands. I don’t take anything out — I
just like to browse. I’m also a big fan of car rides. Zoom zoom!

The one thing I do not vibe with? The vacuum. I bite it. It
deserves it. But I’m perfectly fine chilling in my crate while Foster
Mom battles the beast.
