My name sounds like I come from New York City, but I do not fit the
stereotype. I’m a better fit with the SoCal chill vibe. If you’re
looking for a mature dog who is easy to love and easy to care for, I’m
your gal. I’m 8 years old with a pretty silver coat.  My long-time
human died not long ago, and I would be so happy to have someone to hang-out
with again.  Here are some of the reasons you’ll want to hang-out
with me:

• I’m a good dog and want to be around you, but not annoyingly
  so.
• I’m crate trained but prefer resting on my various beds.
• I’m not destructive when left alone, but have been caught sneaking
  onto the furniture a few times (it’s so comfy).
• I love to go for walks and walk nicely on a transitional leash. I get all
  excited and start to bounce when you have a ball to throw.
• I don’t counter surf or beg at the table.
• I don’t bark except to alert.
• I get along with other dogs, cats, and children.
• I’m healthy overall for my age.

There are a few things that I’ll need from you to be your best girl.
First, I was spoiled in the food department and am carrying around extra
pounds. I’m getting more walks and less food, but as the saying goes;
it took awhile to put on and will take time to come off.  I’ve
been a bit anxious when I’ve encountered other dogs in my new
environment, but I get better every day as I get more comfortable. I will
need slower introductions, and in minutes, everything is fine. I am calmer
using a transitional leash with you as my leader.  I would be best
suited as your only dog or with another who operates at my same speed. If you
