Benelli

Hi there. My name is Benelli and I’m 6 years old. I was an owner turn in to the wonderful people at DLRR. I’ve got a Foster Mom who is helping me lose weight. I’m currently on the chubby side so there’s more of me to love.

All people are my friends but I do miss the kids I use to live with so I would love a family to adopt me. Especially if they take me on short walks while I work on losing these extra pounds.

When excited I hop and that includes when I see my leash. I love walks, short ones for now, and car rides. I walk really well in the harness foster mom has me in as I am right by her side and I don’t pull very much. If I see another person, I might pull a little bit because I just want to go up and meet them and be their new best friend.

No counter surfing and I understand these words: treat, back, stay, sit, down, paw, bed time and wait. My favorite toy is my rope so we can play tug. Even though I’m a Lab I’m not a big fan of water. I jump over puddles when I’m walking.

When I have to go out and you don’t see me near the door, I will come and whine a little bit and then expect you to follow me. I’ve been left alone in the house and have left everything alone. I’m probably napping, on my bed anyway. Foster mom said it’s very important to let people know I don’t get on furniture. Now if you should invite me up, maybe I would get up but not right now.
