Bart

If you are looking for a spark of pure joy and endless entertainment, Bart
is ready to deliver. This vibrant, happy-go-lucky 1 ½  year
old neutered black Lab mix treats every single day like it’s his best
day ever!  His fur is as soft as cashmere, he has bright white
chompers, velvet ears, sparkling golden eyes and a fluffy tail that will
dust your coffee table whether it needs it or not.

Bart, an observant petite sized 45 pound pup, is forever discovering
how wonderful the world can be. He’s a playful, lovable soul that
has a big heart and a curious spirit. He may take a little time to warm
up to new people and other dogs, but once comfortable, his sweet
personality shines through. He may initially be scared of loud or
unexpected noises, so a little patience and reassurance go a long way.
He loves cuddles, is highly treat motivated, (never underestimate the
power of a slice of hotdog) and is eager to learn!

• Potty trained, uses dog door, sleeps through the night in his crate
• Walks well on a leash and is not dog reactive
• Comes when called, knows the command “sit”
• Does not resource guard

A few things to know: Bart has some puppy energy so he enjoys daily
exercise, playtime with another dog, and mental stimulation. He likes to
counter surf, so keeping tasty treats and food out of reach is a good
idea! He rides well in a car but may need some encouragement getting
in.  He jumps on occasion when excited but is easily re-directed
with correction because he has the Lab personality that wants to please.
