Do you have a thing for tall, lanky, goofy blonds? Do you like to have fun?  Play with toys? Play in the water? Do you like giving pets?  Then Tommy could be your guy! 

Tommy is a 2-year-old, 65 lb. yellow Lab mix with a playful spirit! He’s a sweet, energetic and lovable companion who thrives on playtime and companionship. Whether it’s LOUNGING  IN THE POOL, a game of fetch, a brisk walk or hike or just hanging out with his favorite humans, Tommy is always up for a good time!

Tommy loves:

• WATER! Playdates with other dogs and he is interested in befriending cats, so a careful introduction to potential feline buddies is key.
• Car rides! WATER, daily walks and outdoor adventures, he’s good on the leash!  
• Fetch (returning to your vicinity is a sure thing, but giving it over? Maybe not so much!) Tommy is an equal opportunity player: plush toys,  squeaky toys, other dogs’ toys and balls are all in play!
• Treats (hot dogs and deli meat over dog treats!) and happily could use a few pounds, so spoiling Tommy with treats is not a problem! He takes his treats very gently!
• WATER! Drinking water, laying in water, playing in water, splashing in water, walking in water…..so far he’s just had the chance to lounge on a baja shelf and wade in, but we are confident he is only a few stokes of his long legs away from a lifetime of pool fun!
• HIS CRATE!  Tommy loves relaxing in his crate!

A Few Things to Know: 

Tommy is a high energy dog and he would enjoy a large yard to romp around and a companion dog to play with – although we see he could be happy soaking up all the attention as a single dog!  A  pool would be heaven for him (and almost a necessity!) As he is a big, tall guy who sometimes forgets his size, a home with older children would be best.

Tommy is a quick learner (see Treat section, above) but doesn’t have a “formal” skill set – so this is a fantastic opportunity for his adopter to enjoy training sessions with him!  He is eager to please and loves pushing his head into your chest in exchange for full body pets! Oh, and did we mentions TREATS  and WATER?
