Ruger

I’m Ruger, a 4 year old, male, chocolate lab with beautiful gold eyes. I also answer to River because I’m not picky as long as I’m getting attention. I was 62 lbs when my foster parents got me, but the vet said I should be closer to 75 lbs so we are working towards that goal. I eat very fast, so my foster parents got me a slow feeding bowl. My favorite thing in the world is a tennis ball, but I sometimes get so excited when you throw it that I forget to look where it went. I will bring the ball back, but I probably won’t give it to you right away. I like hanging out with my foster parents’ 7 and 3 year old granddaughters and we just had a party with over 20 people and I loved being around everyone. I do explore our back yard, but mostly I just hang out with my foster parents and sleep at their feet. I also follow my foster mom around everywhere she goes. I don’t pay much attention to other dogs or even cats when I’m around them. I’m house broken and use a doggy door, but I hate crates and will find a way to escape them. I do have separation anxiety so it would be best if I found a forever home with people who were around most of the time. I tend to panic when I’m left alone and then I counter surf. I do travel very well in a car, even on long trips. I walk pretty well on a leash and don’t pull much, unless there is a really good smell to explore. My foster parents say I’m a big sweetheart who just wants love and attention.
