Need a daily dose of sunshine? Meet Rain, the 5-year-old, 70-pound lovebug whose tail never stops wagging! This gorgeous girl is spayed, vaccinated, crate-trained, and 100% ready to shower you with affection (and maybe a few paw taps to remind you she’s right here and would like more pets, please).

Rain is the kind of dog who wants to be your everything: your snuggle buddy, your cheerleader, your shadow, and your best friend. She’s a full-on Velcro dog who thrives on closeness and connection. She’ll lie down near you to keep you company, but if she happens to be sitting a few feet away and you speak to her? She slow-motion army crawls her way over to give you a kiss.  It’s possibly the cutest thing you’ll ever see.

She gives kisses like it’s her job and will gently offer you her paw, either for a handshake or as her signature move to request more snuggles. She adores belly rubs and melts into the flow the moment you start.  She’s so eager to please and very treat-motivated, which makes training a total breeze.

She already knows how to sit and lie down, and she’s working hard on her leash skills. She pulls a little, but she checks in with constantly which is an incredible trait that shows just how much she wants to get it right.

Rain’s playful side is in full bloom. She thinks tennis balls are magical and – spoiler alert – she is amazing at fetch and knows how to ‘drop it’ so she can keep things moving along.  She’s also getting her paws wet in the swimming department and learning to swim. She doesn’t seem to need a pool to be happy, but she’s open to the idea if one’s available.

She rides beautifully in the car without any pacing or climbing up front. She’s just a calm girl who curls up in the backseat like she’s done it a hundred times. On a quiet outing to Petco, she handled the store like a seasoned pro. No reactivity to other dogs, just calm curiosity. And afterward, she beelined straight back to the car like, “I’m with you, right?”

Rain is a sensitive soul with a heart of gold. New sights and sounds can make her pause, but she never reacts with aggression. Instead, she looks to her person for comfort and reassurance – making her bond with her human something truly special. She sleeps happily in her crate, trots around with a signature “wigglebutt” gait, and absolutely lights up when she’s around people.
