Mya is a strong, energetic senior pup looking to share her golden years with loving human companions. She was a tearful family surrender due to her previous human companion’s health issues.  Mya is a beautiful tall chocolate purebred sweetheart with a gentle soul and gaze that will melt your heart.  She is an early morning riser that likes to kick start her day walking with her human companion(s).  Mya’s still working on perfecting her leash manners—very enthusiastic out the door but she can settle down to a comfortable pace.  Mya would benefit from adopters that are committed to helping improve her leash skills.  Mya enjoys chasing her peanut butter-treat stuffed Kong and an occasional game of fetch. Pools? Optional. Treats? Yes, please.

While Mya enjoys the company of people immensely, she’d likely prefer to be your one and only pup and no cats, please. She’s a gentle giant when it comes to kids and thrives on human connection.    She’s loyal to the core and comes with a bark that’s more “bodyguard mode” than “barky neighbor dog.” You’ll always feel safe—and deeply loved—with her by your side.  Mya will follow you from room to room, curl up nearby, and gently place her paw in your hand—or rest her head in your lap—just to remind you how much you mean to her.  

Mya is the total package: spayed, vaccinated, crate-trained, and overflowing with love.  She has impeccable manners—no counter surfing, no furniture-hopping, and she’s got a solid grasp on basic commands like sit, come, down and no. Mya currently takes one thyroid med daily and could use a dental cleaning, but nothing holds this girl back from living her best life.
