Hey there, I’m Maui—a goofy, gentle-hearted Black Lab mix weighing 65lbs. I’m just a sweet, loyal pup looking for a fresh start and a family to love! I’m around 1.5 to 2 years old, neutered, housebroken, and just the right mix of mellow and playful. Most of the time, I’m laid back and happy to lounge nearby, but I still get those happy zoomies that show I’m not quite done being a goofball yet. 

I’m not a big fan of the kennel, but I’ve proven I can be trusted to free roam when you’re gone as long as all food is put up (what can I say, I’m part lab!).  

I love being nearby my people—whether I’m snoozing on the couch (if that’s allowed), soaking up the sun in the yard, or stretching out on cool tile. I sleep soundly through the night on my dog bed in my foster’s room, and in the morning, I’m ready to greet you with a few gentle kisses and a wagging tail. I’m great with other dogs, do well with cats (most of the time), and though I don’t have a lot of experience around kids, I’m good with the older ones who aren’t high-energy. I know a few basic commands, and I’m smart and eager to learn more—especially if treats are involved! Other than that, I’ve been praised by my foster family & many other people that I’m a wonderful dog.
