Hello world, my name is Fran and I am looking forward to meeting my forever family. I am a 5 yr old female Lab mix and, while petite in stature, I am working on regaining my girlish figure. It’s hard when you love to eat, right? Other things I love are walks, treats, belly rubs, pets and loving from everyone and anyone.

I am house and doggy door trained, I get along well with other dogs, including my foster mom’s own DLRR adopted dog who is as mellow as me.  I am not sure about cats because I haven’t seen one. I walk very well on a leash and am curious at new sounds, but not reactive. I know some commands such as sit, stay, shake and come.  I sleep all night long on a doggy bed in my foster mom’s bedroom.  During the day, I am content to lay in my crate or on a doggy bed.  Daily walks and pets are much appreciated!! 

I do prefer a peaceful, quiet household. While I might get a bit nervous with a lot of noise and activity, I am easily re-directed with pets and treats (of course!!).  I can be a little shy and timid in new situations and with people I don’t know, but I warm up quickly, especially if people are patient, kind and gentle with me (and have treats, did I mention treats??).
