Drax Meet Drax – A Gentle Soul Ready for His Second ChanceDrax is a 6-year-old, 70 lbs, Labrador mix with a heart as big as his paws. After the passing of his beloved owner, Drax found himself at the city shelter in Douglas, AZ—confused and heartbroken. Thankfully, DLRR was notified and with the help of our Tucson team, Drax made the journey to Phoenix where he’s now safe and thriving in foster. This sweet boy is the definition of loyal. He’s calm, affectionate, and loves being around people. Drax is house-trained, well-mannered, and enjoys leisurely walks and relaxing by your side. He gets along well with other dogs and would do best in a home where he can feel secure, loved, and part of the family once again. He is great on a no-pull harness and walks 2 miles a day with his foster mom and siblings. He has met many neighbors and neighborhood dogs with ease. He gets along well with his foster siblings but more like a companion rather than a playmate. He sleeps on a doggy bed all night . He has had some crate training and was not a fan but did demonstrate his ability to be left in the house uncreated given parameters.Drax is untested around small children and cats. Given his interest in the bunnies on our walks, I would guess it would be best for him to be in a home without cats.If you’re looking for a faithful companion who’s already past the puppy stage but still full of love to give, Drax might just be your perfect match.
