Coal Rudolph “Rudy”

Rudy came to us from the Casa Grande shelter. He’s a one year old gangly puppy with big feet and a large body he’s in the process of growing into.  He has come a long way in his foster home over the last 4 weeks and is now ready to find his forever home. He has been altered, updated on all shots, and learned to walk very nicely on a leash. He is potty trained, knows how to sit, and is working on sitting still while his meals are being handed to him! He loves his treats so much that he sits before the treat is out of the bag:) His coat is shiny and soft and he sports a bushy tail that is a wagging machine. His golden eyes sparkle when you talk to him. He’s jet black with the exception of a thin white streak across his chest and a small white fleck on his neck.

Rudy is truly a LOVE. He gives kisses and will relish any attention you give him. He adores his toys and will squeak them over and over. He has been on good behavior with his foster sibling and adores the company of other pups so much so that he whines when he wants to meet other dogs. There has not been a dog or person — big or small he hasn’t liked yet! In true puppy Lab fashion, Rudy has a playful habit of putting everything in his mouth, so crating him when unsupervised is the best way to keep him safe and out of mischief. Rudy will make a wonderful loving addition to an active home but because of his size a house with adults and older children is advised. He plays hard and sleeps through the night.  We don’t know how big Rudy will get as he fills out but his generally gentle nature we feel will prevail no matter his size.
