Hi there! I’m Barkley — a 1-year-old, 60-pound black Lab mix with a big heart and a happy-go-lucky personality. I’ve been told I’m the total package: I’m good with cats, good with dogs, and good with kids! (We haven’t tested me with babies or toddlers yet, so that’s still a mystery.)

My favorite things? Playing fetch until my tail can’t wag anymore, splashing around in the sprinklers (not a fan of the pool yet), and soaking up the great outdoors. I’m a smart guy, I learned the “house rules” in just a few days. I know a few basic commands too! 

I love snuggling up with my people. I’d be thrilled to hang out on the couch with you, but if that’s not your style, I’m perfectly content curling up in my own bed. When you’re away, you can trust me to free roam without getting into trouble. At night, I sleep peacefully in my foster’s room. I’m crate trained, housebroken, and just an all-around easygoing guy.
