Bailey Bailey is the quintessential Lab! He’s a 3 year old, handsome, purebred, English type of Lab, which is shorter and stockier than the American version of Lab. Bailey is happy to be doing whatever there is to do, or he can be happy doing nothing! He patrols the yard every morning with his nose in the air to see if there are interesting scents, then he eats breakfast, then he’s ready for his walk. There is nothing more exciting to him than his walks! He is easy to walk using the K9 Transitional Leash, but without that, at 100 lbs, he can be a hard puller. After his walk, he takes the first of many daily naps. Bailey can be left alone in the house for many hours and disturbs nothing. He is housebroken, loves car rides, sleeps quietly through the night on his dog bed, and loves his people and anyone else he meets. He particularly loves greeting his people when they come back from wherever they have been! What he doesn’t love is other dogs anywhere near his food, so Bailey has to be the only dog in the household. He doesn’t mind being around other dogs, but he really can’t live with them due to his possessiveness over food. He is perfect about his food around humans, though! Bailey would be at his best if he lost at least 20 lbs, so he’s on the “less food and more exercise” plan at his foster home. He doesn’t appear to be a pool swimmer, so walks and ball play help him burn calories. Bailey loves children and is gentle around them. If you would like to meet Bailey, send his foster a text and you’ll get a call back!
