Meet Bonnie – Your New Best Friend!

Hi, I’m Bonnie! I’m a 1-2 year-old Lab/Husky mix with a heart as big as my smile and a nose that’s always ready for adventure. Forget the alarm, I got you covered! Let’s grab a little grub and start the day with a walk. I love exercise and any fun stimulation I can participate in.

After all that exercise and nice nap next to my people is perfect—snuggling is one of my favorite things in the world, and I never turn down a good belly rub session.

I currently live with two doggy foster sisters, and we’re getting along great! I’ve even learned to enjoy some playful wrestling . One of my foster sisters is really good at tug-of-war, which I love. I also love keeping an eye out for rabbits, quail, lizards, really anything that moves or relaxing with a good chew toy. My foster sisters taught me all the house rules —and I’m proud to say I’ve never had an accident in the house!

I’m learning my manners every day. I used to think the kitchen counter was an all-you-can-snack buffet, but I’ve learned that good behavior gets me way more love and attention. I don’t bark much, but will let you know if someone is at the door.

I’m easy to please at mealtime—I’ll happily eat just about anything. I’m also great on walks and polite on the leash, and I enjoy car rides especially if they end with a treat like a pup cup!

Swimming isn’t really my thing, but I do like to wade and cool off on the pool steps while the other dogs splash around. At bedtime, I’ll settle nicely in my doggy bed next to my sisters and sleep through the night.

My time with DLRR started with some pretty acute medical issues that have mostly resolved. My foster mom is happy to discuss them with you and my ongoing care.

If you’re looking for a sweet, loyal companion who’s the perfect mix of playful and affectionate, I might just be your girl. I can’t wait to find my forever family—and shower them with love every single day!
