Every Rescue Dog is Unique

Rescue dogs come from a variety of backgrounds—some have faced neglect or abandonment, while others are surrendered due to medical or behavioral issues. Each DLRR dog is fully vetted, treated, vaccinated, microchipped, and spayed/neutered before adoption.

Dogs with medical or behavioral challenges receive proper treatment and professional evaluation. Adopting a rescue dog requires patience, commitment, and time to adjust. Our Adoption Support Team and Behavior/Training Coordinator are here to help you through the transition with resources and guidance.

Opening your home to a rescue dog is a remarkable act of compassion—and we’re here to support you every step of the way.
