Buster

Hello! My name is Buster. I am a 2-year-old, 84-pound “Dudley” yellow male. Dudley, not because I’m a dud, but because of my coloring. My nose and inner lids of my eyes and toes are all pink/flesh colored. This pigmentation is a recessive gene found in some of us yellow lab pups. I came from a home where I stayed in a crate a good part of my time indoors. Because of that, Foster Mom has found that while I am crate-trained, I have yet to learn how to notify my humans that I need to go outside. Foster Mom says when I am let out on a regular schedule, I have no accidents in the house. She says once I learn how to notify humans that I need to go out, as well as a few other household manners, I will make me a wonderful dog. But I will tell you a secret: I AM ALREADY A WONDERFUL DOG! I am a goofy, happy wiggle-boy almost all of the time! I behave at the vet, and I behave in the car. I love hanging with my humans. I LOVE attention and pats. I do not chew on human possessions. I will bark when there is a stranger at the door. I get along really well with dogs and cats. I love to nap at my humans’ feet, and I do love to play fetch. And yes, I do know “sit” and respond well to “No!”, but there probably are a few other things you could teach me. Foster Mom says I do occasionally counter-surf (but really, it’s just to see what’s up there–I haven’t taken anything). Foster Mom also says because of my size and my “pure exuberance for life,” I might knock over small children (and small pieces of furniture too). Despite my happy-go-lucky demeanor, it does take me a bit to decide whether a human is trustworthy, so I do not immediately love everyone, but in today’s age, I am told being cautious is a good thing. If you think you would be a good fit for me, swipe right–I mean, call my foster Mom.
