Looking for a dog who’s equal parts cuddle bug, adventure pal, and total heartthrob? Say hello to Teddy, an 8-year-old chocolate Lab with the spirit of a puppy and the charm of a retired lounge singer. He’s sweet, soulful, and just the right mix of mellow and mischievous.

Sure, he’s technically a “senior,” but try telling Teddy that!  He’s got pep in his step, bounce in his booty, and enough Labrador zest to make you forget he ever saw a birthday cake. He’s the kind of guy who loves a swim (his #1 fave), a nice stroll, or a good old-fashioned sunbathing session. Basically, he’s down for anything…as long as you’re by his side.

When the adventures wind down, Teddy transforms into a professional nap enthusiast. Couch time? Count him in. Crate time? No problem. He’s crate-trained, non-destructive, a doggy door expert, and perfect in the car.

Teddy is a true “Velcro dog”, wherever you go, he’s going too. Couch? He’s on it. Road trip? He’s riding shotgun. Bathroom break? Yep, he’s there for moral support. He plays well with other dogs who match his energy but would also be content soaking up all the love as your one and only. Cats, though? Hard pass.

Like a lot of dogs with big hearts, Teddy can get a little anxious in new environments or when routines change. He needs a home where his people are confident, dog-savvy, and steady on their feet.  He will need someone who can help him feel safe and secure while he settles in. He’s not high-maintenance, just sensitive, and he truly shines with structure and calm leadership.

Also worth noting: Teddy loves his people a lot. Like, “I’ll miss you when you’re gone for ten minutes” a lot. He gets a little stressed if he is left alone too long, so he will do best with a family where someone is around most of the time or works from home. Bonus points if you love deep eye contact and have excellent scratching hands.
