Hi, I’m Scooter!

I’m a sweet, affectionate pup looking for my forever home! I’m about 10 months old and weigh around 40 pounds. I’m up to date on all my vaccines, I’ve been neutered, and I’m ready to be your new best friend!

I came to Desert Labrador Retriever Rescue with my brother Jet after our previous owner had to surrender us due to a change in their living situation. It was a big change, but I’ve adjusted well and really love being around people—I’m happiest when I’m getting lots of attention and love.

I’m still a puppy at heart, full of energy and curiosity, but I’ve made great progress with a professional trainer! I now know basic commands, how to walk nicely on a leash, and I’ve learned not to jump up on people. I’m also kennel-trained and know how to use the doggie door. I’m a quick learner and eager to please, so I’d love someone who will keep up my training and help me be the best boy I can be.

I haven’t met any cats yet, so I’m not sure how I’d feel about them. I also haven’t spent much time around young kids—because I’m still learning boundaries, I might be a little too enthusiastic for the very little ones right now.

I haven’t tried swimming yet, but my foster mom thinks I might really enjoy it. I’d be a great fit for an active home where I can keep learning, playing, and snuggling up after a fun day.
