Atlas

Hi everyone! My name is Atlas. I am an 10 month old, 50 pound, black lab mix. I am neutered and up to date on all my vaccines. DLRR originally rescued me from Animal Care and Control (they rescued my sister, too!) where I had been brought in as a stray. Since then I have learned the ropes of living in a home. I have a shiny black coat, and my foster mom says I have the sweetest, kindest eyes.

Like my name suggests, I love to explore! Whether it’s the backyard, a stroll around the neighborhood or something more adventurous, I’m up for it! I love to play and do have the typical puppy energy, but I also just love hanging out and being mellow with my humans. I get along well with other dogs and kids but I am not a big fan of cats. I am not jumpy, so I think I would also do well with younger kids. I would be a great family dog!

I know how to use the doggie door and I am crate trained. I am a quick learner and great listener. I also walk well on a leash. I do great on car rides and love to go on adventures. I’m not sure if I like to swim. There is a pool at my foster house, but I haven’t really been that interested in it. I am still a puppy and need some gentle guidance on things like what I can and can’t chew on (apparently, shoes are not chew toys). I am looking for a home with someone who is willing to provide me boundaries, structure and limitations.

If you are looking for an Atlas to explore with and think we might be a good match, please text my foster mom so we can meet!
